The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for severe heat wave conditions over East Madhya Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh and Vidarbha tomorrow. Similar conditions will prevail over Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi.
The Met department informed that Punjab, Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Telangana will experience heat wave conditions for next two to three days. It added that hot and humid weather will be observed over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha tomorrow. The weather agency has forecast warm night conditions over Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Vidarbha for tomorrow.
In Delhi, IMD has predicted the maximum temperature to hover around 43 to 45 degrees Celsius tomorrow, while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 27 to 29 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the agency also forecast mainly clear skies over the national capital, while heat wave conditions are expected at a few places. Strong surface winds will be observed during the day.
Meanwhile, the Met department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya for tomorrow. According to the weatherman, heavy rainfall is expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe, and Lakshadweep till 26th of this month.
It said, thundersquall with wind is likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand and North Interior Karnataka tomorrow. It also predicted thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds over Bihar, West Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa, Odisha, South Interior and Coastal Karnataka, Telangana and Rayalaseema till Tuesday.
