The Government has refuted a claim circulating on social media that an LPG tanker heading to India was hit in an Iranian missile strike. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) said that the claim is fake. The PIB said that the image being shared is old and relates to a fire that broke out onboard the Cameroon-flagged LPG tanker MV Falcon, following an explosion, off the coast of Aden, Yemen last year. It has advised citizens to beware of propaganda accounts circulating misinformation to create panic among citizens.
