Petrol and diesel prices were increased by up to 91 paise per litre today, marking the third hike in less than 10 days.

In Delhi, the price of petrol has been increased by 87 paise to ₹99.51 per litre, while diesel has gone up by 91 paise to ₹92.49 per litre.

This is the third revision in fuel rates after a ₹3 per litre hike on the 15th of this month, followed by a 90 paise increase on the 19th. Overall, prices have risen by nearly ₹5 per litre in recent days.

The increase comes amid a sharp surge in global crude oil prices following the Iran conflict and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.
