France has banned Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir from entering French territory. French Foreign Minister ⁠Jean-Noel Barrot announced the decision in a social media post today, saying the move reflected growing anger over the treatment of activists aboard the Gaza-bound Sumud flotilla. Mr. Barrot also urged the European Union to impose sanctions on Ben-Gvir. The Israeli minister has faced widespread criticism after sharing a video in which he appeared to taunt detained flotilla activists, who were shown bound while in Israeli police custody.
