Former Tamil Nadu Minister and DMK leader Anitha Radhakrishnan was arrested by the State Police today in connection with a defamation case after the Madras High Court dismissed his anticipatory bail application.

The move came after Justice G. K. Ilanthiraiyan rejected the anticipatory bail plea filed by the former Minister over his alleged remarks against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay during a public meeting on June 20.
