Union Forest and Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav has said, the Central Government is considering the issue of leopard habitation in Gujarat. He said a decision in this regard will be taken in accordance with established protocols and rules. Talking to journalists in Gandhinagar, Mr. Yadav also expressed concern over the deaths of lions in the state. He said the Central Forest Department is closely monitoring the situation and added that the Central Government is making all possible efforts to support lion conservation and breeding.
Mr. Yadav further said, the foundation for a developed India has been laid in the country over the past 12 years. He was interacting with industrialists at the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation – GIDC in Gandhinagar today. During his visit, he also inspected various pieces of equipment being manufactured by local industries. Earlier, Mr. Yadav planted saplings at Pethapur Lake in Gandhinagar.
