The Election Commission will hold special camps across all polling station locations in the national capital tomorrow. The day-long drive aims to assist citizens with fresh inclusions, objections to proposed inclusions or deletions of names in electoral rolls, and corrections to particulars in the electoral rolls.
Booth Level Officers will remain present at designated polling booths to receive applications. People can submit Form 6 for new voter enrollment, Form 7 for objections or deletion of entries, and Form 8 for any corrections or updating of details in the electoral rolls.
Addressing the media regarding the ongoing SIR process in the national capital, Delhi Chief Electoral Officer Ashok Kumar has clarified that Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) can consider documents other than those listed in the notice during hearings on a case-by-case basis. He said the document list attached with the notice is not exhaustive and voters can produce relevant documents to establish their name, date of birth or other details mentioned in the notice, which will be considered by the ERO on a case-to-case basis.
