The air quality in Delhi-NCR continues to be in the severe category, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 432 at 7 this morning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that Delhi and NCR are likely to experience smog and shallow fog during the night and morning hours over the next 2-3 days.
According to data from the Central Pollution Control Board, the AQI in some parts of the city continues to remain at severe levels. Anand Vihar recorded an AQI of 473; Ashok Vihar recorded 471; Rohini 453; Jahangirpuri 470; Bawana 456; Vivek Vihar 470; and Punjabi Bagh recorded an AQI of 459. The city also witnessed a thick layer of smog this morning.
