Authorities in the Democratic Republic of Congo say the death toll from the ongoing Ebola outbreak has now risen to 204 people. According to the country’s health ministry, 204 deaths have been recorded so far, out of a total of 867 suspected cases.

Yesterday, the African Union’s health authority warned that more countries on the continent are at risk of being affected by the Ebola virus, in addition to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda.

The Red Cross stated that three volunteers in the Democratic Republic of the Congo had died as a result of the virus.
