Union Minister for Coal and Mines  G. Kishan Reddy has made it clear that comprehensive development of Greater Hyderabad cannot be achieved with mere slogans, but is possible only when the administrative machinery works with full coordination and with scientific plans designed as per the needs of the people.  Speaking to the media after the Hyderabad District DISHA Committee meeting, the Minister has called upon officials to strive hard to create infrastructure and for utilization of funds properly so as to solve public problems in Hyderabad.

The Union Minister made it clear to the officials that many welfare and development schemes are available in the Central Government, and State officials should prepare and send proper Detailed Project Reports (DPRs). He assured that if officials send proposals as per rules, he would take the responsibility of getting funds sanctioned from the Central Government to Hyderabad and Telangana.

The Union Minister said that despite Hyderabad metropolis is expanding,  plans should be made considering the city as a single unit. He suggested that Collectors of Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri and other districts, and the three Municipal Commissioners under GHMC and Cyberabad limits should work together with mutual coordination.
