President Droupadi Murmu has said that the Central government has established Ayurveda and Yoga on the global stage with renewed energy.

 

Addressing the inaugural function of Saushrutam 2026 in New Delhi today, the President expressed satisfaction that efforts are being made to establish the ancient tradition of Ayurvedic surgery on scientific standards. 

 

The President said the Ministry of AYUSH is working closely with the World Health Organization to strengthen the global standardisation of Ayurvedic healthcare. She noted that standardized documentation, digital health integration, and the effective use of modern scientific research techniques will help enhance the worldwide acceptance of Ayurveda.

 

The President Murmu expressed confidence that the deliberations at the symposium will generate new knowledge and further strengthen international cooperation in the field of Ayurvedic surgery.
