BJP President Nitin Nabin Addresses 75th Foundation Day of Bharatiya Jan Sangh

BJP President Nitin Nabin today addressed the 75th Foundation Day of Bhartiya Jan Sangh in New Delhi. He expressed his gratitude to the party for giving him a chance to chair the foundation day of the Bharatiya Jan Sangh at a place where it was formed by Shyama Prasad Mukherjee in 1951.

He also greeted several dignitaries on the dais, including Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, Delhi State President Harsh Malhotra and others.

Commemorating the octogenarian members of the Jan Sangh who have played a crucial role in its inception in 1951, Mr. Nabin highlighted how the party reached 303 seats from 3 in the first general election.

The BJP president said that it’s always been a pleasure to learn from these stellar figures that come up with learning and inspiration for the party’s youth workers, including him.

Mr Nabin dedicated the event to the party’s seniors who have worked for the Jan Sangh selflessly and sustained earlier hardships for the future of the party. He emphasised that there is a need for the same commitment and resolution to be pursued by every party worker to pave the way for the future of BJP.

The National President of BJP also applauded the nationalist temperament of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, who established the Jan Sangh, breaking off from the then ruling party of Congress.

Recounting the period of struggle that the former party members endured while connecting everyone with the party’s ideology, he said now everyone should be grateful to the founders like  Shyama Prasad Mukherjee  for making the path ahead smooth.

He said that it was Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s perseverance that, post-independence, the party could envisage Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. He also appealed to the young party workers of the BJP to take a pledge for their commitment to national building.
