The BJP Mahila Morcha staged a protest in New Delhi, demanding action against Congress MP from Inner Manipur, Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, over allegations of sexual harassment involving female students at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).

The BJP claimed that JNU had dismissed Akoijam from his teaching position following an inquiry into complaints filed by 11 female students.

Speaking to reporters, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and other senior party leaders for their alleged silence on the matter.
