BJP accuses LoP Rahul Gandhi of weakening constitutional institutions and tarnishing country’s image

The BJP has accused the Congress leader and the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi of weakening the Constitutional institutions and tarnishing the image of the country. Briefing media in New Delhi today, senior BJP leader and Party MP Anurag Singh Thakur alleged that whenever the Congress party suffers electoral defeat, it raises sometimes question on electronic voting machines and Election Commission. Mr Thakur said that Congress should produce evidence instead of making accusations only. He said, Rahul Gandhi also could not submit any evidence when he met President Droupadi Mrumu alongwith the opposition delegation regarding alleged irregularities in Special Intensive Revision.

Addressing another press conference at party headquarters in New Delhi today, Union Minister and Senior BJP Leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan claimed that a complete lack of ideological direction within its top leadership is the reason for electoral setbacks for the Congress.

Mr Chouhan further alleged that the Congress had historically removed elected governments more than 90 times. He claimed that the party has now been reduced to a junior partner in all but three or four states, alleging that the Congress is attempting to return to power by discrediting institutions rather than winning the support of the people.
