Army Major Hamza Arif, who lost his life in a road accident in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer, was laid to rest with full military honours at Indore in Madhya Pradesh today. His mortal remains reached his residence this morning, where a large number of people gathered to pay their last respects.
His final journey was taken out with the tricolour-draped coffin, as people paid tributes and raised patriotic slogans. The Army accorded him a Guard of Honour before he was laid to rest. Major Hamza Arif had served in the Indian Army for nine years. Two other Army officers injured in the accident are undergoing treatment.
