In Tamil Nadu, AIADMK MLA from Karur, M. R. Vijayabaskar, today submitted his resignation to Assembly Speaker J. C. D. Prabhakar.

Speaking to the media, the Speaker said that Vijayabaskar personally handed over his handwritten resignation letter, which has been accepted. With this, the number of AIADMK MLAs who have resigned from the Assembly has risen to seven.
