The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall over Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh today. The IMD forecast heavy rainfall over Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and parts of North East India today.

The Met Department also predicted Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over Jammu-Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Mahe, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands for the day. In Delhi, the met department estimated cloudy sky with the possibility of light rainfall during the day. According to the Weather Agency, the maximum temperature will be around 33 to 35 degrees Celsius in Delhi while the minimum temperature will hover around 23 to 25 degrees Celsius today.
