3rd phase of BJP Punjab’s Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatras launched

The third phase of Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab’s Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatras is being launched today by Union Minister of State for Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal, from Fazilka’s Sadiqi border. The Union Minister paid tributes to the martyrs of the 1971 Indo-Pak war at their Asafwala War Memorial along with State BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon, besides other party leaders.

Speaking to the media, he said that this yatra should not be seen from a political angle, as it is being termed by some people. Mr Meghwal also met members of some drug-affected families and shared their grief. Earlier, the yatra was launched by the party’s National President, Nitin Nabin, from the border district of Pathankot on Friday.

It is focusing on three major challenges presently confronting Punjab. These are the growing drug menace, deteriorating law and order, and corruption at every level of governance. It will cover all 117 Assembly constituencies in the state to turn the fight against drugs into a mass public movement.
