In Shillong, Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Pabitra Margherita today handed over appointment letters to newly appointed youths in various departments during the 20th Rozgar Mela, held at the State Convention Centre.
The appointment letters were handed over to 127 candidates during the programme.
Speaking during the event, Mr Margherita congratulated the youth and expressed confidence that the newly appointed candidates will carry their responsibilities with integrity, dedication and pride.
He added that the Government of India is creating an ecosystem where youth can study, work, innovate, and build their career within the region, rather than going elsewhere.

The Prime Minister appealed to the youth to follow the mantra of Nagarik Devo Bhava, and to contribute to nation building.
The 20th Rozgar Mela was organised today at 45 locations across the country, including Shillong, with more than 51,000 appointment letters being distributed to newly appointed youths for various government posts.
