Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Khadse today said the Youth Parliament provides a platform for young people to engage with democratic institutions and contribute to nation-building. Addressing the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026 award ceremony in New Delhi, she urged youth to become active stakeholders in India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047 and highlighted the MY Bharat initiative as a key avenue for youth participation in development.
Organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the two-day event brought together 105 young leaders from States and Union Territories for parliamentary deliberations and discussions on the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. Winners were announced in categories including Best Opening Speaker, Best Question, Best Responder and Best Short Discussion. The ministry said participants were selected through district and state-level rounds, reflecting the diversity and leadership potential of India’s youth.
