All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Media In-charge and Professor, Dr Rima Dada, said that yoga is not merely a form of exercise but a powerful science of holistic living. Talking exclusively to Akashvani news, she highlighted the transformative role of yoga in addressing Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), a lifestyle-related disorder that is increasingly affecting women across India.
 
Emphasising the importance of yoga in the prevention and management of PCOS, Dr Dada said scientific studies have demonstrated that regular yoga practice helps regulate menstrual cycles, restore hormonal balance, improve insulin sensitivity, and support healthy weight management. She said that yoga, when combined with a balanced diet and regular physical activity, can significantly improve reproductive and metabolic health. Dr Dada added that yoga is a vital tool in combating the growing burden of PCOS.
