Wushu: Indian team delivers commanding performance with five medals

 
The Indian wushu team delivered a commanding performance at the 11th Sanda World Cup, winning two gold, one silver, and two bronze medals in Macau. The women athletes, in particular, put up a stellar display by securing both gold medals from the six-member contingent. In the women’s 75kg category, Border Security Force athlete Shivani defeated her Russian opponent to clinch the gold medal with an impressive display of skill and determination. Aparna also produced a brilliant performance in the 52kg category to secure India’s second gold medal. 
In the 48kg category, Indian Air Force athlete Kushal Kumar fought valiantly against a Chinese opponent to claim the silver medal.
Meanwhile, SSB’s Kareena Kaushik and ITBP’s Sagar Dhaiya secured bronze medals, taking India’s overall medal tally to five.
