World Heart Day is being observed today. On the occasion, an awareness programme highlighting the importance of heart health was organised at Govind Ballabh Pant (GBP) Hospital in Tripura. 

 

World Heart Day is observed every year to raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases globally and encourage people to adopt a heart-healthy lifestyle. The key objective is to educate and encourage people to recognise the early warning signs of heart disease, control risk factors such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol, and maintain a schedule of regular health check-ups. The theme of this year’s World Heart Day is “Don’t Miss a Moment”.
