New and Renewable Energy Minister Pralhad Joshi today said the world is appreciating country’s journey and potential in the new and renewable energy sector and is eager to invest in in this sector. He said, around 8 to 10 countries will participate as partner countries in the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit and Expo 2026, scheduled to be held from second to 5th November this year in New Delhi.
Addressing the Mumbai Edition Roadshow of the upcoming event, he stressed the need for capacity building, commitment, quality, reliability and affordability in the renewable energy sector. The Minister highlighted country’s achievements in the new and renewable energy sector, including crossing the milestone of 300 gigawatt of energy from renewable sources, the installation of PM Surya Ghar solar power systems on 50 lakh houses, and a significant increase in energy production from wind and solar energy.
