Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s RSS Chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat today said that a wave originating in the West is seeking to destroy values of decency, auspiciousness, culture and humanity across the world, including India. He said that even the so-called developed countries are facing the impact of this wave and feel helpless.
Addressing the annual Vijayadashami Utsav celebrations of the RSS at Reshimbagh ground in Nagpur this morning, Dr. Bhagwat said that forces seeking to dismantle the country are working with planned strategies. He cautioned that regime-change agitations do not resolve fundamental problems, warning that protests could become instruments of political interests and fuel divisions in society rather than delivering solutions.
Referring to recent public agitation across the world and India, Dr. Bhagwat said that, people also have a responsibility to contribute to the functioning of society and the country, driven by a sense of belonging and the conviction that the nation and society are their own. He said that this spirit should also guide public movements. However, when movements become instruments of political gain and are driven by hostility towards individuals, groups or ideologies, forces seeking to weaken India take advantage of this situation.
Earlier today, Mr Bhagwat performed Shastrapujan to mark the Vijaydashmi Utsav.
