West Bengal Transfers 32 Acres of Land to BSF for India-Bangladesh Border Security

To strengthen surveillance and infrastructure along the India-Bangladesh border, West Bengal government has approved the transfer of nearly 32 acres of land to the Border Security Force. At today’s cabinet meeting in Nabanna, approval was given for the permanent transfer of this land for building border fences, security posts, and other facilities.
 
After the meeting, Minister Dilip Ghosh announced that a total of around 32 acres across several border districts have already been transferred to the BSF. In addition, another 1.53 acres will be used to construct three new border outposts in Malda, Nadia, and Cooch Behar.
The cabinet also cleared the transfer of 12.72 acres in North Dinajpur for fencing and related infrastructure at eleven different sites.These moves mark a significant step toward bolstering border security and advancing key infrastructure projects in West Bengal.
