In conformity with the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the state government of West Bengal will implement a new syllabus for government and government-aided schools in the state. The new syllabus will come into force in 2028, and some revisions will be made to the syllabus in 2027. The new syllabus will be implemented from Class 1 to Class 12. The state School Education Minister, Dipak Barman, announced at a program in Kolkata today that a newly formed syllabus committee has already started its work.
