The Special Investigation Team probing Sunday’s unrest at the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI) has submitted its first report to the West Bengal Home and Hill Affairs Department. The six-page report was submitted yesterday.
They identified 250 people and questioned 23 so far. The SIT, headed by Kolkata Police Additional Commissioner (Crime) Kunal Agarwal, visited the SRFTI campus on Wednesday and examined several video recordings and CCTV footage.
Those questioned include ten members of the institute authorities, including the Vice-Chancellor, ten student leaders and two members of the Akhil Bharat Grahak Panchayat.
