West Bengal: Second instalment of Annapurna Yojana distributed

In West Bengal, the second instalment of Annapurna Yojana was distributed today. Addressing the programme in Kolkata, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said under this scheme, money would be credited to only eligible women members of a family. The Annapurna Yojana is being implemented by the Women Child Development and Social Welfare department of the government of West Bengal.

Today, more than one crore beneficiaries’ accounts have been credited under the Annapurna Yojana. Under this scheme, eligible women beneficiaries between 25 to 60 years would get 3000 rupees per month through the direct benefit transfers.
