A Maoist leader from the Jhargram district of West Bengal, Pushpa, has surrendered before the Kolkata Police. She has been active in the Sarenda jungles. Ajay Kumar Nand, Kolkata Police Commissioner, today informed the media in a press conference about her surrender with an SLR rifle, one magazine and 37 rounds of cartridges. The surrendered Maoist Pushpa has been a member of the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army and has links with another Maoist leader, Mishir Beshra.
