West Bengal likely to receive continuous rainfall for the next three days

According to the Weather office, West Bengal is likely to receive continuous rainfall for the next three days under the influence of low pressure over the Bay of Bengal. Scattered heavy rain is likely to occur at parts of Birbhum and Murshidabad on Friday. Heavy rain warning has been issued for North Bengal.

According to the Meteorological department, the low pressure in Northwest Bay of Bengal is gradually approaching Odisha and the Bengal coast. It will gradually move northwest towards Odisha and Jharkhand. As per the forecast, amount of rain may increase in the districts from Wednesday. The situation will remain the same till Friday. Coastal districts will have high chance of rainfall. Rainfall is likely to increase in the western districts from tomorrow. Fishermen have been alerted not to venture into the sea.
