Fencing work in the border areas of West Bengal has started. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari today informed the media at a programme in Kolkata on the occasion of 12 years of NDA government. Mr Adhikari said people are giving their lands for fencing along the Indo-Bangladesh border. He said that by giving a fair price, state government is taking the lands from common people and handing over to BSF. The Chief Minister said, the land transfer process is ongoing and described the project as a matter of national security. He also mentioned that fencing is an important work along the borders to thwart infiltration.
