VP Radhakrishnan, LS Speaker Birla, HM Shah congratulate Skyroot Aerospace on successful launch of Vikram-1

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, and Union Science and Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh have congratulated Skyroot Aerospace on the successful launch of India’s first privately developed orbital launch vehicle – Vikram 1.

He said it showcases the growing strength of the private space sector, advancing indigenous innovation, and reinforcing India’s emergence as a global space power. The Vice President said the mission also reflects the immense potential of India’s rapidly expanding space economy. He extended his best wishes to the entire team at Skyroot Aerospace and everyone associated with this remarkable achievement.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said, this landmark achievement marks a transformative chapter in India’s space journey. Mr Birla said that with the successful launch of Vikram-1, India’s private space sector has demonstrated its growing technological excellence, innovation and global competitiveness. The Lok Sabha Speaker added that this success is a testament to the vision, dedication and relentless efforts of the entire Skyroot Aerospace team, ISRO and everyone who contributed to this historic milestone.
 
In a social media post, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, it is a firm step towards realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making space more accessible. He said, this innovation will further strengthen India’s space sector elevating its stature as a global leader.

External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar described the successful launch of the Vikram1 rocket as historic. In a social media post, Dr Jaishankar said this is a reflection of what can be achieved when the innovation and entrepreneurial drive of India’s youth are backed by the bold reforms of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
