Vice President C P Radhakrishnan has congratulated Mirabai Chanu on winning the Silver Medal in the Women’s 49 kg Weightlifting event at the Asian Games and described it as a proud moment for the nation. In a social media post, Mr Radhakrishnan said that Ms Chanu’s unwavering determination and remarkable consistency continue to inspire the nation.
He also congratulated to Parinaaz Dhaliwal, Maheshwari Chauhan and Raiza Dhillon on securing the Bronze Medal in the Women’s Skeet Team event, and to Anantjeet Singh Naruka, Bhavtegh Singh Gill and Mairaj Ahmad Khan on winning the Bronze Medal in the Men’s Skeet Team event. The Vice President said that their precision, teamwork and outstanding performances have added to India’s pride. He also wished all the medallists for many more laurels in the years ahead.
