VP Radhakrishnan calls upon young administrative officers to remain dedicated to public service

Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan today addressed the valedictory programme of Phase-II training of the 2024 batch of IAS officer trainees at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, LBSNAA, in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.
 
On the occasion, the Vice-President said that the civil services have made significant contributions to the country’s development and serve as an important link in implementing policies at the grassroots level. He said that character and integrity are the foundations of public service. Mr. Radhakrishnan stressed that true leadership is not measured by power or position, but by the ability to act ethically even in difficult situations.
 
The Vice-President called upon the young administrative officers to remain dedicated to public service. He urged them not to be distracted by criticism but to remain focused on their work and decisions. He also called upon the officers to work for the welfare of society and provide better services to the common people.
 
Uttarakhand Governor Gurmit Singh also congratulated the 2024 batch officer trainees on completing their professional training and wished them a bright career dedicated to the service of the nation. He said that one chapter of their training had concluded, but the real journey of national service was now beginning. He called upon the officers to work in the public interest with sensitivity, integrity and courage, and to keep the spirit of “Nation First” in every decision.
