Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has called upon students to become innovators and entrepreneurs and establish their own startups. Addressing the Centenary Year Convocation of Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi, he asked them to fully subscribe and immerse themselves in economic nationalism.
 
The Vice President stated that the human resource is a vital ingredient in nation building, and the youth must empower themselves not by political intoxication but through capacity building and personality development, with the ultimate objective of nurturing a healthy environment and society. He emphasized that democracy is all about dialogue, discussion, deliberation and debate. He called disruption and disturbance antithetical to democratic values.
