Virat Kohli set to miss Afghanistan ODI series due to hamstring injury

India’s star batter Virat Kohli is reportedly set to miss the upcoming ODI series against Afghanistan due to injury, dealing a major setback to the hosts.

Reports claimed that Kohli is suffering from a hamstring injury and will not take part in the upcoming three-match contest set to begin on June 13 in Dharamsala. The Second ODI will be played in Lucknow on June 17 and the final ODI will be held on June 20 in Chennai.

The injury also casts doubts over Kohli’s participation in the crucial England tour, where men in blue will play three ODIs starting from July 14. Kohli’s absence could prove to be a double blow for India, as former captain Rohit Sharma’s availability is also unclear due to an injury he suffered during IPL 2026.
