The nationwide ‘Viksit Bharat Yuva Samvad: Know Your Vote’ campaign has concluded with 536 Yuva Samvads conducted across 31 States and Union Territories. The campaign organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports through Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) reached over one lakh young people and involved more than 5000 Youth Icons. The campaign brought discussions on electoral awareness to colleges and educational institutions across the country. It encouraged young people, particularly first-time voters, to understand their voting rights and electoral procedures and participate responsibly in democracy.
The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports said that the campaign witnessed participation by Governors, Union Ministers, State Ministers, Members of Parliament and other public representatives. It added that sports personalities and youth icons from the sporting community also participated in programmes, sharing their experiences and encouraging youth participation in sports.
The Yuva Samvads provided young participants with opportunities to seek clarity on electoral procedures, discuss voting rights and civic responsibilities, and interact directly with public representatives and Youth Icons.
