The 53rd Vijay Diwas was celebrated at the Kargil War Memorial with a poignant and solemn ceremony. The event commenced with a solemn wreath-laying by Brig Sumeet Abrol, SM, VSM, PhD, Commander, 56 Mountain Brigade, on behalf of all ranks of the Dras Warriors Brigade.

The event also saw a huge turnout of ESMs from nearby areas, who braved the extreme cold climate to show respect and pay homage to the 1971 Indo-Pak War Bravehearts.

The celebration served as a reminder of the nation’s gratitude to its armed forces and the importance of their role in protecting the country’s sovereignty.
