Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan today inaugurated the Sophisticated Analytical Instrument Facility and the Advanced Instrumentation Facility at the Central Instrumentation Laboratory on the Panjab University campus in Chandigarh. These facilities will enhance the university’s analytical and research capabilities in fields such as biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, and related areas.
The Vice President also inaugurated the Panjab University Technology Innovation Platform, which will strengthen the university’s startup and research ecosystem.
In his address, Mr Radhakrishnan lauded the university’s 143-year glorious history and said that 80% of the university’s funding is provided by the central government, making it effectively like a central university.
The Vice President also urged the youth to say a firm ‘no’ to drugs and contribute to the nation’s development. He also emphasized that campus security is the university’s top priority.
