Vice President C P Radhakrishnan has extended his greetings on the occasion of National Sports Day today. In a social media post, Mr Radhakrishnan paid tribute to Indian Hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand and said that the spirit of determination, discipline and excellence defines Bharat’s sporting culture. He noted that the nation’s growing sports ecosystem reflects the commitment to nurturing talent at every level.

Mr Radhakrishnan said that Indian athletes continue to shine on the global stage, bringing laurels to the nation and inspiring the next generation to aim higher. The Vice President also called for renewed efforts to promote fitness, encourage greater participation in sports and inspire young Indians to pursue excellence with dedication and perseverance.
