Vice Chairperson of NITI Aayog Dr Ashok Kumar Lahiri, says India has grown by 5.4% in last quarter

Vice Chairperson of NITI Aayog Dr Ashok Kumar Lahiri today said that the total trade of India has grown by 5.4 per cent in the last quarter. Dr Lahiri said this while releasing the latest Edition of the Trade Watch Quarterly report in New Delhi. The Vice Chairperson added that India’s exports reached 1.84 trillion dollars and imports grew by 6.5 per cent in the last quarter. Talking about the situation in West Asia, he said that the crisis was temporary and expressed hope that peace would soon prevail in the world.

The report released today gives an analysis of India’s role in Global Trade, primarily focusing on Pharmaceutical trade.
