VB – G RAM G to be launched in Andhra Pradesh on July 1: Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that the national launch of Viksit Bharat – Rozgar aur Aajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB – G RAM G) will take place in Andhra Pradesh on the 1st of July.

 

The Minister said this during his meeting with Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan in New Delhi. Mr Chouhan praised the development journey of Andhra Pradesh and said that it is one of the most progressive states in the country and is known for taking development-related decisions quickly. He said that the state should do more innovation in the field of rural development so that other states can also take inspiration from it.

 

He also said that the successful models and innovations developed by Andhra Pradesh will be shared with other states of the country so that best practices in rural development can be widely disseminated and adopted across India. Mr Chouhan encouraged the state government to adopt innovation-based development models and implement them on a wider scale. During the meeting, it was also informed that coffee plantation activities have been included under VB – G RAM G in Andhra Pradesh, which will create new livelihood opportunities in rural areas and bring diversity in income sources.
