The Uttar Pradesh government has enhanced the honorarium for Anganwadi Workers and Helpers. The state government has issued an order in this regard. As per the order, an additional increase of 4,000 rupees per month has been made in the state share of Anganwadi Workers and 2,000 rupees per month in the state share of Helpers. Following this revision, Anganwadi Workers will receive a total honorarium of 12,000 rupees per month, while Helpers will receive 6,000 rupees per month.

The enhanced honorarium will be effective from September 2026 and will be paid in October 2026. The decision has been taken in view of the increased responsibilities of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers, their role in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), nutrition services, the growing use of digital platforms, and convergence with various departmental schemes.
