Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed district administrations, Relief Commissioner’s Office, and concerned departments to maintain continuous monitoring and ensure immediate action in the event of any disaster following incidents of storms, rainfall, and severe weather in several districts. Many districts, including the state capital Lucknow, witnessed a change in weather yesterday, providing some relief from the scorching heat. Several districts recorded rainfall accompanied by strong winds and hailstorms.
The Meteorological Department has issued a rainfall alert for many districts across the state.
The Chief Minister has directed that in districts where there has been a loss of human life or livestock due to strong winds, rain, hailstorms, or other natural calamities, the affected families should be provided with the prescribed relief assistance without delay.
The Chief Minister also appealed to the public to remain cautious during adverse weather conditions, avoid unnecessary movement in open areas, and strictly follow the guidelines issued by the administration. He stated that the state government is closely monitoring the situation and that the safety of citizens remains its highest priority.
