US President Donald Trump has suggested that Ukraine should elect a new president capable of negotiating a deal to end the conflict with Russia. He also warned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy against targeting Russian oil refineries, particularly those producing diesel fuel.

Speaking on the White House premises, Trump argued that such strikes could disrupt fuel supplies to global markets and adversely affect American farmers and ranchers. His remarks came a day after he announced on Truth Social that Russia would immediately supply more than 3 lakh tonnes of diesel fuel to American and global markets, with additional shipments expected in the coming months.
