The United States has resumed the blockade of Iranian ports in response to Tehran’s recent attacks on commercial ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
During an interview with TV News Channel, US President Donald Trump said that the Hormuz is open if people want to go through it, but not for Iran. Mr Trump also warned Tehran, saying that the US is going to hit Iran “very hard” tonight, and the intensity of these attacks will increase with every night after. He said that US will knock out all power plants and bridges of Iran unless they get to the table and negotiate.
Mr Trump further alleged that everything Tehran says is a lie as they always wanted a nuclear weapon. He also alleged that Tehran breaks the deal every time and gave his message to Iranian regime’s leadership that the only option left with them is they better make a deal or they are not going to have anybody left.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) attacked Weapons and Parts Storage Facilities in Bahrain in large-scale strikes. The IRGC said in a statement that several weapons and parts storage sheds for ships and aircraft were destroyed at the Sheikh Isa base in Bahrain during a simultaneous missile and drone operation.
The IRGC also claimed that it destroyed or damaged a number of drones by attacking the ramp where the MQ9 drones were deployed at the Ali Salem base in Kuwait. The air defences of Kuwait confirmed its engagement with “hostile aerial targets” in the country’s airspace.
