US President Donald Trump to attend the FIFA World Cup 2026 final

The White House confirmed that US President Donald Trump will attend the FIFA World Cup 2026 final between defending champions Argentina and Spain at the New York-New Jersey Stadium on Sunday night.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt made the announcement during a press briefing, outlining Mr Trump’s schedule for the weekend.

According to Ms Leavitt, the US president will first participate in a FIFA reception at Trump Tower in New York City before travelling to New Jersey for the tournament’s title clash.

The FIFA World Cup 2026, jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, will conclude with the final scheduled in New Jersey.
