The US military has said it attacked a boat suspected of being involved in drug smuggling in the Caribbean Sea, killing four people. The strike was carried out yesterday as the Trump administration continues its campaign against alleged drug traffickers in Latin America.
According to the US Southern Command, the vessel was targeted along a known smuggling route. However, the military did not provide evidence that the boat was carrying drugs.
The latest attacks take the reported death toll from US military boat strikes to at least 235 in 70 operations since September last year.
