Union Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on being conferred with Seychelles’ highest distinction for leadership in environmental conservation and sustainable development. The award titled ‘Guardian of the Blue Horizon’ was conferred by the President of Seychelles, Dr Patrick Herminie.
In a social media post, Mr Shah said, the honour is a proud declaration of India’s ascent on the world order as a role model in revitalising natural ecosystems while leading the world in growth and sustainable development.
Dr Jaishankar said, the honour reflects Mr Modi’s leadership role in advancing climate action and sustainable development, while also underscoring the growing strength of India and Seychelles partnership.
Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in a social media post, noted that this honour is the highest distinction for leadership in environmental conservation and sustainable development. Mr Singh highlighted that this prestigious recognition is a testament to his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to global climate action. He also said that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership India’s global stature continues to rise, inspiring the world with the vision of ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future.’ Mr Singh emphasized that this honour is a matter of immense pride for every Indian.
Furthermore, Union Ministers, including Piyush Goyal, Bhupendra Yadav, Manohar Lal, Dr Jitendra Singh and others also extended their congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
